ANTIQUE CAST IRON PEACOCK LAMP - ART NOUVEAU - SUNSET - 1930'S Signed Smashing!  1930's LAMP THAT IS SIGNED A.W. REISER AND ALSO HAS A HARSH WARNING STAMPED ON THE BACK OF LAMP:  ' 'INFRINGEMENTS PROSECUTED '

JUST A BEAUTIFUL ART NOUVEAU DECORATIVE LAMP MADE OF CAST IRON. THE BACK PANEL HAS COPPER HUES SIMULATING A SUNSET. LAMP HAS FEET AND IS IN WORKING CONDITION. HOWEVER, THE CORD APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL BRADED AND IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT IT BE REPLACED . ON/OFF PULL CHAIN.

MEASURES 8 INCHES BY 8 INCHES. THE DEPTH IS 3 INCHES. TWO PRONG PLUG.

VERY UNUSUAL DESIGN WITH A NICE AND TALL PEACOCK.

A.W. (ALFRED) REISER ATTENDED SCHOOL IN TOLEDO OHIO AND HE GRADUATED FROM POLYTECHNIC SCHOOL IN 1901.

REISER WORKED FOR WESTERN GAS FIXTURE COMPANY. IN 1919 HE ORGANIZED REIDON COMPANY. IN 1922 HE BECAME SOLE OWNER AND WAS BEST KNOWN AS A.W. REISER COMPANY, LOCATED AT 127 & 129 HURON STREET IN TOLEDO OHIO.

REISER'S COMPANY FLURISHED, EMPLOYING UP TO 40 PEOPLE.

MR. REISER ALSO WAS DIRECTOR OF LUCUS COUNTY MORTAGE COMPANY
