DETECTIVE BADGE Reno Nevada GRIFFIN INVESTIGATOR Casino Gambling

Wallet badge that is maker marked:  SUN BADGE COMPANY, LOS ANGELES ( longtime manufacturer of police, fire and other law enforcement badges ).  Full size, 3 inches tall.  This badge represents the Reno, Nevada operation, CIRCA 1967-1974.  Their presence has been well established in Las Vegas too.
GRIFFIN INVESTIGATIONS WAS FOUNDED IN 1967 and is renowned for being a prominent group of private investigators, working primarily is the casino taming industry.
The company made its mark in the industry by keeping dossiers on card counters (Blackjack & the like), maily professional gamblers.  Griffin also was instrumental in the facial recognition system, comparing gamblers faces against volumes of mug shots (pre- A.I. for sure).   
In 2005 Griffin filed for bankruptcy due to defamation lawsuits, filed by two gamblers.   They claimed that they were falsely detained and arrested as being cheaters, based on Griffin surveillance operations.  Vintage - Casino - Collectible
