This was the first non-stop fixed-wing westbound flight over the North Atlantic, from just outside Dublin to Labrador, which took 36.5 hours on April 12 - 13, 1928. The pilots were Gunther von Huenefeld and Captain Hermann Koehl of Germany and Major James Fitzmaurice of Ireland.  Junkers W33 monoplane
